Where Wineries and Growers Come Together

The Eastern Winery Exposition (EWE) is an Eastern-focused wine industry trade show and conference designed to provide the Eastern U.S. and Canadian wineries and vineyards with an easily accessible, affordable, professional event held in a first class venue at the right time of year. A well-rounded conference program, exhibit hall featuring suppliers relevant to our region’s business of wine making, networking events, and state association participation are all integral components of EWE.

2014 has been a big year for EWE with our first-ever sold out show floor in Lancaster and our highest attendance figures yet. The feedback we received onsite in March and in the post-event survey was extremely positive (survey respondents rated their satisfaction with the show at 4.6 on a scale of 1-5, and 91% would recommend EWE to their friends and colleagues.) The conference sessions and speakers presented a wide range of material, all relevant to the East, and were also scored highly by survey respondents. And EWE was honored to award Fred Frank of Dr. Konstantin Frank Vinifera Wine Cellars with the EWE Lifetime Achievement Award at the Third Annual Industry Celebration Dinner.

Building on the success in Lancaster, we’re taking the show to Syracuse, New York in 2015, before returning to Lancaster in 2016. Though going north, the show is still a show for everyone in the East.

For 2015 we’ve built our biggest and strongest conference program yet, with 40+ speakers, 20 conference sessions and 2 full day workshops. The focus is on enology, viticulture, cold hardy hybrids, and business sessions, and the level of material is for newcomers and veterans alike.

As we’ve said from the start, this is your show. We value your feedback and we are committed to making each show better and more valuable than the previous. So please reach out and share your thoughts with us!

We look forward to hearing from you and to seeing you in Syracuse.

"For the past 3 years we have attended EWE in Lancaster PA. We've experienced the wide and valuable selection of topics as well as the great cross-section of speakers/presenters. We also found value in the spirited question and answer periods and the opportunity to visit with other Eastern U.S. winery owners. The trade shows are well worth the time one can spend there. We plan to attend in Syracuse next March."

"EWE was a great show. We made a lot of deals with grape growers, Arthur our friend at Arton and other assorted winery suppliers. Thanks again."

  • ASEV

Last March EWE partnered with the American Society for Enology and Viticulture-Eastern Section for the first annual ASEV-ES Live Auction. As a result, the ASEV raised more than $6,000 for its scholarship fund. EWE & ASEV are partnering again in 2015 with both a live and silent auction at the show in Syracuse. All funds raised will once again support students working toward careers in Viticulture and Enology.
