Welcome Wine Reception
Wednesday, March 22, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
It’s a laid back atmosphere in a casual setting. It’s where the EWE alumni, newbies, speakers, exhibitors and wine donors all gather to kick off the first evening of EWE. Plentiful samplings of wines from around the Eastern region will be provided. Light bites will also be included.
Sponsored by the Ohio Wine Producers Association.
Buffet Lunch Social
Thursday, March 23, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Lunch is important but the social is key. This is your opportunity to continue the conversations already begun with your fellow attendees, speakers and exhibitors. Each table provides you the chance to chat with other wine and grape professionals and to keep the learning going. And of course, to enjoy lunch too.
6th Annual Industry Celebration Dinner
Thursday, March 23, 6:45 – 8:15 p.m.
Relax and celebrate with your friends and colleagues after a full day at EWE. We’ll feature Eastern wines prior to dinner, more Eastern wines and lively conversation with dinner, and the presentation of a special lifetime achievement award to one of our own. Raise a glass and celebrate! Then grab a paddle and jump right into the action of the ASEV-ES live auction immediately following dinner.
Sponsored by Label Gallery.
ASEV-ES Live Auction
Thursday, March 23, 8:15 p.m.
It’s time to raise your auction paddle for the benefit of the next generation of grape growers and winemakers! ASEV-ES and EWE are combining forces for the fourth consecutive year to raise those much-needed scholarship funds. This animated event begins as the Celebration Dinner concludes and is open to all EWE participants at no charge.
ASEV-ES Silent Auction
Thursday, March 23 and Friday, March 24
The silent auction takes place during show hours and features a range of useful and valuable items for every budget. Place your bid early to secure a possible bargain, but return often to ensure you’ve not been outdone by a rival bidder. All proceeds benefit the ASEV-ES scholarship fund.
Friday, March 24, 12:00 – 1:15 p.m.
Shop the exhibit hall, meet with the company reps you’d like to see, learn about products and services, and enjoy a walk-around lunch, compliments of the 2017 EWE Exhibiting Companies. Open to all EWE attendees.
Wine Sensory Analysis Workshop
Monday, March 20 & Tuesday, March 21, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A sensory workshop that will benefit winemakers, cellar workers, winery staff, and wine enthusiasts who seek a deeper understanding of wine sensory evaluation and its impact on a winery’s success. Workshop attendees will be guided through sensory test methods to assess perceived differences and preferences in wine.
Visit Vesta-usa.org for more details and information on how to register.
Separate registration is required.
License to Steal Wine Marketing Conference
Thursday, March 23 & Friday, March 24
This is the venue where wineries, growers and ancillary entities willingly contribute and collaborate on marketing ideas, relationship building and revenue generation. It includes the very popular ‘steal sessions’ where the best and newest marketing ideas are shared with attendees.
