Winemaker

Frederick is the winemaker, vineyard manager, and grafting manager of the Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard in New York. He comes from a strong agricultural background and attended Cornell University to pursue his deep rooted interests in agriculture and German studies. Since starting as an intern in 2001 under the watchful eye of Hermann J. Wiemer, he quickly became the key decision maker in every aspect of the winery, vineyard, and nursery operations. In 2007, Frederick assumed management of Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard, which continues to produce the top rieslings in the country.
