Technical Consultant

Nichola serves as technical consultant for all areas of enology with a particular focus on fermentation management, microbial nutrition, wine microbiology and analysis, and winery hygiene at Scott Laboratories. She has also been confirmed as the 2016-2017 president of the American Society for Enology and Viticulture (ASEV). Prior to Scott Laboratories, Nichola worked at Vinquiry, Inc. in Windsor, California, as a technical consultant and with Bronco Wine Company as the director of microbiology. She serves on the American Vineyard Foundation Grant Management Committee, is a published author in international journals and trade publications, and an invited speaker at national and international meetings.

Nichola graduated with a BSc (HONS) in Microbial Biotechnology in 1997 and earned her PhD in Yeast Physiology and Fermentation Science from the University of Albertay in Dundee, Scotland.
