Russell Moss
Domaine Serene

Viticulturist

As the viticulturist for one of Oregon’s top luxury wine brands, Russell oversees the management of Domaine Serene’s 250 acres of ultra-premium pinot noir and chardonnay.  He holds a BS in viticulture and enology from Lincoln University in New Zealand. He also holds a Master’s degree in both horticulture (viticulture) and in food science and technology (enology) from Virginia Tech. His passion for pinot noir led him to Central Otago, New Zealand, where he served as a viticulturist for some of New Zealand’s premier vineyards. Russell has worked in vineyards and cellars around the world and has conducted viticulture research with one of the world’s largest wine businesses. He is a regular contributor to technical articles on wine and grape production for publications in Australia, New Zealand, the U.S. and South Africa. On the rare occasions that Russell is not immersed in grapes and wine, he can be found playing trombone.
